Available Engines

The 2025 Mazda CX-5 offers two engine options. The base powerplant on this new Mazda SUV is a SKYACTIV®-G 2.5-liter inline-four engine that produces 187 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. A turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine is also available. The latter engine generates 227 or 256 horsepower and 310 or 320 lb-ft of torque with regular gas or premium fuel, respectively.

An i-ACTIV AWD® system is standard with both engines, providing extra sure-footedness when the roads are slick or you engage in some light off-roading. A highly responsive six-speed automatic transmission handles gear shifts as if it can anticipate your next move. Both the Mazda SUV’s gear shifter and steering wheel are wrapped in leather, which means they’ll feel right at home in your capable hands.

Active Safety Equipment

Advanced safety and driver-assistive features are standard for new Mazda models, including the Mazda CX-5. Stop-and-go adaptive cruise control maintains a constant distance between your SUV and the vehicle you’re following.
