Engine Options
In addition to choosing between two Mazda3 body styles, you’ll need to choose between two energetic engines when you stop by for a test drive. The base engine for both body styles is a 2.5-liter four-cylinder powerplant that produces 191 horsepower and 186 lb-ft of torque. Front-wheel drive is standard with this engine, but i-ACTIV AWD® is available as an option.
Models with “Turbo” in their trim names have a more powerful engine: a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that’s capable of up to 250 horsepower and 320 lb-ft of torque. The i-ACTIV AWD® system is standard with the turbocharged powerplant. A responsive six-speed automatic transmission is standard for both engines.

New Mazda vehicles showcase the latest in-vehicle entertainment wonderfully. Inside the Mazda3, you’ll be greeted by an 8.8-inch infotainment display on the dashboard. You can operate that display using the car’s Apple CarPlay® and Android Auto™ connectivity.
You’ll also have access to a three-month or 2GB Wi-Fi® hotspot trial period thanks to a one-year complimentary subscription to Mazda Connected Services. And new for the 2025 model year is available Alexa Built-in, which makes controlling vehicle features even more convenient.
