The Mazda3 is such a versatile option for new drivers, young families, and anyone looking to make their daily commute a little more thrilling. It comes in both sedan and hatchback options and it includes all of today’s modern i-ACTIVSENSE® safety features. New for the upcoming 2020 Mazda3 are powertrain changes that will allow for more power and better efficiency.

The next generation of one of our favorite Mazda vehicles is on the way soon. What we know so far is that it will carry that same sleek design with “stellar handling” as usual. The implementation of our new SKYACTIV®-Vehicle Architecture in this model will allow the cabin to have less noise and vibration, which improves the overall ride quality.

The new Mazda3 is expected to have a new gasoline compression-ignition engine in the higher-end trims. The SKYACTIV®-X is a supercharged four-cylinder engine that burns an ultralean charge during compression ignition. The air-to-fuel ratio is more than double that of a conventional gas engine.

This system will result in more horsepower (190 horsepower and 207 lb.-ft. torque), as well as a bump in fuel efficiency compared to last year’s model. The standard model will have our naturally aspiration 155 horsepower 2.0-liter SKYACTIV®-G inline-four engine. It will be available in six-speed SKYACTIV®-MT manual and six-speed SKYACTIV®-Drive automatic options, as well.

We can’t wait to learn more about the safety, convenience, and entertainment features that are sure to wow us in the coming months. We hope to see the new Mazda3 on sale later this year. And if you’d like to check out the 2019 Mazda3 Hatchback in the meantime, visit our Mazda dealership in Fairless Hills, PA. We look forward to working with you.
