The 2019 Mazda CX-5 Signature Diesel is now available for ordering! It’s a new take on a model we already loved, which gives it that boost into the more “premium” realm of cars. As an i-ACTIV AWD® vehicle, this model already drove like a dream, however, thanks to the SKYACTIV®-D 2.2-liter diesel engine, you can get a high torque driving experience.
The new engine is said to put out 168 horsepower at 4,000 RPM and 290 lb.-ft. of torque at 2,000 RPM. Essentially, it revs freely at higher RPMs, yet doesn’t lose that highway efficiency. It meets all of the federal and state emissions regulations for a diesel engine of its size, and the best part of all is the sequential twin turbocharger that realizes smooth and linear response from low to high engine speeds. Available in four premium hues, we’re sure this model is going to fit the style of many different drivers.
