As your Mazda dealers near Philadelphia, we have all the info you need to support you throughout your mission to buy a new vehicle at Peruzzi Mazda. If you’ve been thinking about reducing your carbon footprint and purchasing a car that’s a bit more environmentally friendly for your family’s future, we think you’re going like the news regarding some upcoming Mazda vehicles.

According to Mazda CEO Akira Marumoto, “the first Mazda battery-electric vehicle will hit the market next year.” He also remarked during the interview that there will be some plug-in hybrid Mazda models coming in 2021 or 2022. As Mazda dealers, we can’t wait to see them in person, and some promising photos have already been leaked online.

While we don’t know much about these upcoming models, other than the fact that they’ll have that signature Mazda exterior sense of style, we do think they’ll be very versatile – with some sedan and SUV options. Powertrain and battery specs haven’t been set in stone yet, as they’re still in the testing phase, but we are expecting a variety of different engines for our customers to choose from.

Later down the line, Marumoto remarked that Mazda and Toyota will be partnering on some electric-vehicle projects to improve the “green” car game. Maybe someday there will even be an electric Mazda Miata. We can’t wait to see what Mazda engineers come up with over the next three years and to share that info with you as it comes.
