Mazda cars like the Mazda CX-3, Mazda CX-5, and Mazda CX-9 are known for being superb winterdriving vehicles due to their secure handling and all-wheel-drive systems. However, there are a few things you’ll want to do to prepare your car before the start of the busy holiday season. At our Peruzzi Mazda service department, we can help you do exactly that with the following winterization services.

1. Tire Service

Tires play a huge role in keeping you safe on the road, especially if you were to encounter inclement weather. First of all, you should make sure you’re not due for new tires before winter arrives. If your tires have lost their ability to hold air or a significant amount of tread, you’ll want to replace them right away. Secondly, you’ll want to make sure your tires are in good condition and wearing evenly. Start by getting them rotated and checked for proper inflation according to your tire and vehicle guidelines.

2. Oil Change

You should be getting an oil change several times per year, and it’s especially important to do so before the cold weather bogs down your engine. Fresh oil can increase efficiency and help keep a lot of your car parts in good working order for the winter. When you get your oil changed at our service center, we can also check any other necessary fluids such as power steering fluid and brake fluid.

3. Windshield Wiper and Fluid Check

Lastly, visibility is very important when encountering severe winter weather. Having fresh windshield wipers and plenty of fluid will ensure you can keep ice, snow, salt, and other winter debris out of your way.
