MAZDA Warning Light Guide

Even though cars are far more advanced than they were even 10 years ago, the nature of warning lights hasn’t changed all that much. The Peruzzi Mazda team has created this guide to help illuminate when your car might need Mazda repairs.
Check Engine
The check engine light comes on when your car’s onboard diagnostic system detects a problem with the engine, the emission system, or the transmission.?These problems range from a loose gas cap or a bad oxygen sensor to a broken mass airflow sensor. Such issues are easily diagnosed and resolved with genuine Mazda parts replacements.
Air Bag Warning
You might notice that the airbag light will briefly turn on when you start your car, and then turn off. This means the system is functioning properly. However, if the light stays on, it could mean that the airbags have been disabled or there is a problem with the system.
Engine Temperature?
Of all the reasons to make a service appointment at Peruzzi Mazda, this is one of the most important. When the engine temperature light comes on, it means the engine has gotten too hot and is in danger of overheating. This condition could be the result of a low coolant level, a bad water pump, or a broken coolant hose. Regardless, you should address it right away.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System
If the tire pressure monitoring system (TPMS) light illuminates, it usually means that the tire pressure in one or more of the tires is too low or too high. If you add or release air in your tires and the light stays on, stop by our Mazda service center and we’ll take a closer look.
Battery?
The battery light warns of a problem with your car’s battery and charging system. The issue could be a faulty alternator, a wonky voltage regulator, or even an expiring battery.?It’s best to have this addressed before a potentially small problem becomes a bigger one. ?
