How to Spring Clean Your Mazda Car
We don’t know about you, but at Peruzzi Mazda, we have our fingers crossed for warmer weather any day now. Spring Cleaning Checklist:
- Conduct routine services like oil change, tire rotation, alignment check, and others. These should be done 3-4 times a year anyway.
- Complete any needed repairs or parts replacements. Have you been procrastinating on a little something since the holidays? Let’s take care of it now.
- Check A/C and battery. You’re going to want these working when the warmer weather hits.
- Clean the exterior of the car, making sure to clear out any under-car debris that may have built up such as salt, cinders, etc.

But when something even more unique, like the 30th Anniversary Mazda MX-5 Miata comes out, we have to shout to the rooftops about it. We have some interesting news about this particular model that we don’t think you’ll want to miss.
The Mazda MX-5 Miata has been a customer favorite for a while now, but what happened recently shocked even us as Mazda dealers. This little coupe full of power and style has been an essential part of the lineup for 30 years! Just recently, in a matter of only four hours, all 500 US 30th Anniversary Mazda MX-5 Miata models sold out. Can you say “Wow?”
The 25th-anniversary model a few years back sold out quickly too, but try comparing only 100 models to 500 this time around. Experts are predicting that the 2,500 other models of this vehicle (across the globe) will be gone quickly as well.
This year’s model is a bold Racing Orange color inspired by the 1989 Club Racer concept’s bright yellow hue. It was available in a regular Roadster from $34,995 and the folding top RF version from $37,995, with a choice of manual or automatic transmission. What’s GAP Insurance?
We are your Fairless Hills area Mazda dealership, and we want you to know you can come to us with any auto related questions. We’ve had a lot of customers lately who were curious about supplemental insurance options, like GAP insurance, so we’re here to explain more today!
While we can’t say for sure without knowing your specific coverage needs and details, we can say that in many cases GAP insurance is a good idea, and you can always ask your insurance agent if it would fit your particular circumstances.
Essentially, GAP insurance (Guaranteed Auto Protection) covers the gap left when you’ve totaled a vehicle that you are upside down on financially. So, let’s unpack this. The term “upside down” means that you owe more money than your vehicle is currently worth.
Being upside down on a car loan for a short time isn’t unusual if you’ve made a small down payment, selected a long payment plan – like five years, or if your car is so new you’ve made barely any payments on it yet. Cars depreciate in value so quickly, as soon as you drive off the lot, your vehicle is already worth less than what you’re buying it for.
However, the bad thing about being upside down on your loan is that if something happens and your car is totaled during that time, you may owe money to your financial institution on your Mazda auto loan that is not covered by your standard insurance.
Many insurances only cover the current value of the car, minus the deductible, so now you can see where there may be a “gap” between coverage and what you will tangibly owe. But now, it’s turbocharged with more tech, and additional luxury trim, and other exciting upgrades that come as a pleasant surprise. The Mazda CX-5 has been long known for its crossover versatility. With the newest model, you can expect a standard turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that gets up to 250 horsepower and up to 310 lb.-ft. of torque.
