One of the biggest factors when deciding between a lease and buying a new car is how much you plan to use it. Leases come with mileage limits, meaning you will have to pay a penalty if you use it more than you agreed to. Ownership lets you drive as much as you want.
How Long You Want to Have the Car
You should consider how long you plan to drive your new Mazda car. Leases are short-term, although you can often buy the leased car once the lease has ended. However, if you expect to keep a vehicle for a long time, buying it outright might make more sense.
Budget
Another important factor is how much you plan to spend on monthly payments. A lease will typically have smaller payments. However, you don’t build equity with those payments, and you can’t resell a leased vehicle. If you buy the car, your monthly payments are typically larger, but you have more options on what to do with it.
Customization
If you like to add accessories and customization to your vehicles, leasing is most likely not for you. Since you don’t actually own the vehicle under a lease, you can’t modify it. Buying, even if you need to finance the vehicle, lets you do what you want with it.
